Comment burried. What is Endless Sky missing / doing wrong that Escape Velocity Nova had / did well? The only thing I can think of is the branching / multiple storylines adding to replayability, but whatever your gripe with Endless Sky, it's open source - so just add what you feel is missing and we all benefit! Endless Sky is a 2D space trading and combat game similar to the classic Escape Velocity series. Explore other star systems. Earn money by trading, carrying passengers, or completing missions. Use your earnings to buy a better ship or to upgrade the weapons and engines on your current one. Blow up pirates. Take sides in a civil war.
Since Ambrosia software has pretty much abandoned the game and it's at risk of disappearing from the internet, here's a compilation of all the stuff you need to play this old Gem!Update late 2019Someone made this site which is a really nice mirror of everything:You can also find a backup of all the files in this thread! The most up to date Windows version:For Windows, I also made this package, because who wants QuickTime installed in 2018? Turns out you only need 2 files from QuickTime 5.0 to make the game work. Copy them in EV Nova folder and it'll work without QuickTime installed!to enable wide screen resolution + bigger star map. For 1080 wide screen, I recommend 1360x768 otherwise the text will be too small.
Don't use 1366 or it'll distort the image.EV Nova 1.0.10 crack here: (Use this ONLY if you have previously purchased the game and Ambrosia doesn't give you a new registration code. This file has been posted for preservation, educational and backup purposes only)Here's some version for Mac OS, since different versions support different Mac OS versions.1.0.10 should run on ancient Mac's with an OS version of 8.1 and aboveFor OSX, you might need this patch:RegistrationIf you were previously issued a serial for the game (or find one thru other means), you can activate it with your original key by setting the computer clock to within a few days after the serial was issued.

Make sure to NOT run the game after a fresh install and unplug your internet first, then use the register tool to enter the key and get back online. If you don't wanna have to unplug your internet, you can use with 'blocked' permission. Change the path in the reg file to match where you installed it. (Protip: You can probably find a registration key on google)EV Nova 1.0.10 crack here: (Use this ONLY if you have previously purchased the game and Ambrosia doesn't give you a new registration code.

Mirror it so it doesn't disappear!Happy playing EV Nova!. EV Nova 1.0.10 crack here: Escape.Velocity.Nova.v1.0.10.Cracked-HERETiC.rar (7z) (Use this ONLY if you have previously purchased the game and Ambrosia doesn't give you a new registration code. Mirror it so it doesn't disappear!Man, HERETIC cracks takes me back! To the days when I was involved with software piracy; and here we are now in 2019, and software piracy is.kind of irrelevant anymore, but we're using those old cracks to preserve old games from bygone days. It sort of makes me think that all of that crime was worth it in the long run!:pOn a more serious note though, Thanks for this; I preserved my information about my original activation code for EV:Nova from when I bought it (back in 2006!) but I have no idea when during that year I made that purchase. This will save me some trouble.
The newest Mac OSX's removed some old coding types which EVNova happened to use. I'm in High Sierra and my game also launches to a black screen and crashes before anything else happens. I remember reading on the ambrosia software that someone made an unofficial patch or something that got things pretty much working, but I don't remember what OS version it was for and for how long it worked. Best bet is to roll an old OS.I'll look for the forum.EDIT: This appears to be a fix made for 'El Capitan and beyond', so I'd give that a whirlPS: EVNova rocks.
It was enough to make me join Reddit just for this (first post).
